>Sui主网:为什么它将成为下一个区块链游戏生态的黑马?

随着被喻为Meta系三大公链之一的Sui主网在香港时间5月3日晚上8:00上线,愈来愈多游戏生态陆陆续续走到Sui 的生态网发展。根据非官方资料,SUI 现时有大约25个已知的GameFi 项目发展中,未来亦会有多更GameFi 大作例如Project Eluüne、Abyss World、或者轻松小品游戏如Cosmocadia、Run Legends、甚至是笔者有份参与的动作策略卡牌游戏Legend of Arcadia,都已经宣布将会在Sui上部署,到底Sui有什么魅力能在短时间内吸引了GameFi项目研发呢?

以游戏作为发展定位(Game-first approach)

Sui 开发公司Mysten Labs 的游戏合作伙伴关系主管Anthony Palma 曾经接受Decrypt采访时提到, 现时Sui 已经跟40 多家的游戏项目方合作中并建构中,Sui 的定位不仅是追求「区块链游戏」或「加密货币游戏」,

而是追求那些通过利用web3 提升玩家体验及高交互性的优质游戏。不谋而合地,Palma 对于GameFi 赛道的看法跟笔者十分相近,都认为所谓的web3 游戏怎样演变也好,「游戏」的部分永远都是走在任何其他元素之前。因此,作为一条新星的Layer-1 公链,其中两大设定特性都是专门为GameFi 赛道而生。

另外,我们也可以期待在6月底IVS Crypto 2023 活动举办期间,Sui Network 与Jump Crypto 共同举办的Kyoto Builder House 活动中也将有不少GameFi 团队参与,由于日本本身就是游戏大国,想当然也有非常多游戏团队有所兴趣,对于GameFi 的关注度自然也会提升不少,就让我们拭目以待。

NFT链上数据存储(On-chain Data Storage)

跟我们熟识EVM 公链部署的NFT稍为不同,Sui 链上的游戏NFT metadata 并不是存储在IPFS 系统或中心化伺服器,而是以一个「Object」的代码层形式存储在链上,并由Move 这个智能合约编程语言所控制。好处是Sui 链上NFT 资产在某种层面真真正正实现了去中心化,所有关于NFT metadata 的资讯都能通过链上查阅,而项目方亦不能单方面随意改动。当然,相对应所牺牲的是,把游戏NFT 所有资讯都搬迁到链上存储处理,意味着该NFT 的属性每一个改动(例如把一只火属性NPC 增添一个光属性),都必需经过NFT 持有者的授权允许能成立,除了gas fee 之外,无疑用户体验(User Journey)多多少少都会受影响, 此处就不详解了。

本月17日,Sui Foundation 其中一位开发成员0xShayan在一个Web3 Gaming Week座谈会上,曾经用Pokèmon 的进化系统解释Sui 独有的动态属性NFT 设计。延伸上述所提及的「Object」设计,Sui 链上的NFT智能合约由两部分造成,分别是「Fields」及「Dynamic Fields」。前者是由最少6项属性展示代码标准(Object Display Standard)所制定,以厘定该NFT 系列的基本资讯,例如NFT collection的名称、图像URL、创作者等等,通常在Fields 的NFT 属性是不能被更改的; 后者则容许被建立在一个「Field Object」之后,此处的NFT 属性是可以通过玩家授权后能作出更改。

以Legend of Arcadia 为例,游戏内的每一位玩具英雄都是NFT 资产,能通过消耗闲置的玩具英雄,把身上的部件继承到目标玩具英雄。若果在现时的EVM 链的做法做(如左图所示),原本那张的目标玩具英雄NFT A 需要被烧毁,中心化伺服器会根据被消耗的闲置玩具英雄内容,重新铸造一个新的玩具英雄NFT B,并把内容继承过去。相反,因为Sui 链的动态属性NFT 特性,能允许同一张的目标玩具英雄NFT A 直接更改身上的部件,而需要再通过烧毁及铸造来实现。

这样做法的好处是,NFT 资产的持有者的归有权由始至终都是紧握手中,更重要的是如游戏NFT 资产在短时间内需要频密地更新属性, (例如一把火之剑每杀一个敌人攻击加一) 该NFT 资产并不需要经历多次烧毁铸造,而只需要通过动态属性去改变便可,不但减轻了项目方伺服器的负担,同时能真正实现去中心化及数字拥有权(Digital Ownership)。

区块链游戏生态链

由于笔者也是Legend of Arcadia 其中一位核心成员,有幸每周定期都会跟Mysten Labs 的技术团队交流学习,除了能深深体验到对方在区块链智识领域上的独特见解外,更重要的是他们非常热情及无私地提供各方面的技术支援。团队深知以Move 智能合约编程语言设计的Sui 最大障碍就是非EVM兼容(non-EVM compatible), 很多游戏项目方的研发人员都为了舍难取易而去选择其他EVM 兼容的公链发展。正因如此,他们更加需要主动伸出援手,吸引更多优质GameFi 项目发展,打造属于Sui 的游戏生态,这就是笔者一直强调的是二级市场看到的另外一面。

NFT On-chain Data Storage

Slightly different from the NFT deployed on the EVM public chain that we are familiar with, the game NFT metadata on the Sui chain is not stored in IPFS The system or centralized server is stored on the chain in the form of an "Object" code layer and controlled by Move, a smart contract programming language. The advantage is that the NFT assets on the Sui chain are truly decentralized to a certain extent. All information about NFT metadata can be viewed on the chain, and the project party cannot unilaterally do so at will.Will change. The advantage of this approach is that the ownership rights of NFT asset holders are tightly controlled from beginning to end. More importantly, game NFT assets require frequent transactions in a short period of time. The attributes of the NFT asset do not need to be burned and cast multiple times, but only need to be changed through dynamic attributes, which not only reduces the load on the project server burden, and at the same time can truly achieve decentralization and digital ownership (Digital Ownership).
